Originally founded in 1907 as a steel mill in Sweden, Alleima has been part of Sandvik since 1986 as Sandvik Materials Technology. This association with Sandvik has enabled the company to grow and innovate as part of a global industrial group. In 2022, however, Alleima took an important step towards independence. After the shares were distributed to Sandvik shareholders, Alleima became a fully independent company.
